What is optimization?

The process of improving your odds of displaying on SERPS will depend on the level of complaince your website and references to your website meet.

The actual task of optimization improves the compliance of the site, in it's entirety, with the rules for each search engine.

Each of these areas could be discussed in depth for days, weeks, months and even years - and if a conclusion was met - it would be wrong by the time it was determined. The rules change - and as such, the optimization strategy must change as well.
